 The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur, in its aim to improve the delivery of health and hospital services to its constituents, have recently acquired ten (10) ambulance units under the PCSO-LGU Procurement Program on a cost sharing scheme. The acquisition of the vehicles will enable the different government hospitals to address the limited transport vehicle for their patients. Recipients were readily available to receive said ambulances from the Honorable Governor Deogracias Victor B. Savellano during the distribution on February 22, 2010. Two (2) units to Gabriela Silang General Hospital, one unit each for Sinait District Hospital, Magsingal District Hospital, Central Ilocos Sur District Hospital, Sta. Lucia District Hospital, Salcedo Medicare Hospital, Bessang Pass Memorial Hospital and Tagudin General Hospital and Capillariasis Center. The remaining unit will be used at the Balay Taripato in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur.
with the availability of the ambulances at strategic areas, Gov. DV is optimistic that mobilization of patients is already assured as the same shall serve the needs of the general public who requires transport to other hospitals outside the province for treatment.
